「不変」をテーマに描いた作品です。
スカートの下、時計回りに回るうさぎは、時の流れを表現しています。
咲き誇る藤の花は季節の循環を表現し、少女の足元で広がるお茶会は、人間の不変の営みの一つを模し、
作品の中にぎゅっと不変の世界を閉じ込めています。
・モチーフ
籠の中にはたまごを詰め込んでいますが、
ここでは多産の象徴でもあるうさぎと合わせて、生命力を強く表現するために選んで描いています。
花々は、藤の花の香りが作品を超えて香ってくるように、柔らかな色彩で着彩しました。
ぜんまいのついた少女人形は、ネジが巻かれなければそのまま止まってしまう、
不変とは真逆の存在です。
対照的なモチーフを組み合わせることで、
軽やかさや美しさの中に少しの「不穏」をしのばせて、
作品に奥行きを持たせるよう描きました。
この作品が、それぞれの記憶や物語と静かに重なれば嬉しく思います。
This piece was created under the theme of “Invariance.”
The rabbit circling clockwise beneath the skirt represents the passage of time.
The wisteria in full bloom symbolizes the cycle of the seasons, while the tea party unfolding at the young girl’s feet mimics an unchanging human custom, tightly sealing a world of permanence within the artwork.
Motifs
The basket is filled with eggs, which I chose to paint alongside the rabbit—a symbol of fertility—to strongly convey the idea of vitality.
The flowers were colored in soft hues so that one might almost smell the fragrance of the wisteria wafting beyond the artwork.
The clockwork girl doll, equipped with a winding key, is an entity directly opposing the concept of invariance, as she remains completely still unless wound.
By combining these contrasting motifs, I painted a hint of subtle disquiet beneath the lightness and beauty, giving the artwork deeper resonance.
