星帯の終焉。
静かな終焉と、始まりへの回帰を想起させる作品として描いた作品です。
はじまりとおわり、継続や循環。
私はそんなテーマがとても好きで、少し哲学的ではありますが
思考を巡らせながら制作しています。
この作品は、全体的に「静けさも」テーマの一つで、
青系の涼やかなトーンで統一しました。
・モチーフ
この作品には、終焉と始まりを示唆する様々なモチーフを入れ込んでいます。
トケイソウや少女の持つ金の林檎、
緩やかに弧を描きながら泳ぐ魚、清らかな泉…。
モチーフにも想いを馳せて鑑賞いただけたら幸いです。
・制作背景
2027年2月に予定している個展のために描いたシリーズの一つです。
M号に近い縦横比率で、すっきりとした印象も備えています。
作品では一部金彩を使用しています。また、額装には金彩と呼応するように面金加工を施しています。
原画では直接、その両方の煌めきをお楽しみいただけると思います。
この作品が、それぞれの記憶や物語と静かに重なれば嬉しく思います。
The Zodiac’s End
I created this piece to evoke a sense of quiet end and a return to new beginnings. Beginnings and endings, continuity and circulation—I am deeply drawn to these themes and engage with them philosophically as I contemplate and create.
Quietness itself is also a central theme of this work, which I rendered in a unified, cool palette of blues.
Motifs
I incorporated various motifs suggesting both closure and new beginnings: passion flowers, a golden apple held by the young girl, fish swimming gracefully along soft arcs, and a clear spring… I would be delighted if you might reflect on these motifs as you view the artwork.
Background & Details
This painting is part of a series created for my solo exhibition scheduled for February 2027. With a aspect ratio close to an M-type canvas size, it carries a clean and refined presence. I used gold paint in parts of the painting, and the framing features a matching gold-inlaid inner lip (mengane) that echoes these accents. In person, you will be able to enjoy the subtle shimmer of both.
