Galleryページに掲載中作品のストーリーを綴っています。
個展会場では直接、作家から作品についてのストーリーを聴くことができます。
作品から直接受け取る印象だけではなく、会場の作品キャプションや会場の雰囲気、
また、作家との会話の中で受け取る作品の「印象」。
それら全ての1日の体験そのものが、作品を迎えたいと思うきっかけの一つとなる場合があると思います。
一方、Web Galleryでも直接作品を迎えることができます。
作品詳細ページでは、展示の際と近い形のキャプション文を添えています。
ですが、できるなら、展示にできるだけ近い形で、
作品についてのストーリーを知ることができる。
そんな場を提供できれば、という思いから、作品についてのストーリーを綴ることにしました。
会場でしか味わえない体験も勿論ありますが、
ご家庭やお好みの場所で、好きな時間にゆっくりと。
時には海を超えて。
遠方の方や、展示にはなかなか足を運べないという方にも、
作品をじっくり楽しんでいただける「場」を、
Webサイトを通じて持っていただけたらとても嬉しく思います。
私は作品を鑑賞する際、作品からのみ、受ける印象というものも大切にしています。
一つの作品を複数人が見たとしても、
個々で作品に対して感じる印象は異なるものだと思うからです。
一つの作品で、時には他者と真逆の印象を持つ場合もあります。
作品を語るストーリー記事では、多くを語りすぎないよう、
主にはモチーフについてや、
作品に込めたメッセージなどをほんの少し綴っています。
作品に込めた制作背景をもっと知りたいなと思っていただけたなら

In the “INSIGHT” section of this Journal, I share the stories behind the artworks featured on the Gallery page.
At a solo exhibition, visitors can hear these stories directly from the artist. It is not just the immediate impression of the painting itself, but also the text on the captions, the atmosphere of the space, and the conversations with the artist—all of these elements come together to create a single day’s experience that often serves as the inspiration to bring a piece into one’s life.
Through the Web Gallery, you can also collect my artworks directly. The details page for each piece includes caption text similar to what you would see at a physical exhibition. However, I wanted to create a space that allows you to discover the stories behind the artworks in a way that feels as close as possible to attending an exhibition in person. That is why I decided to write these background stories.
While there are experiences that can only be felt at a venue, I would be delighted if this website offers a space for those who live far away, or who cannot easily visit an exhibition, to enjoy the artwork deeply—at home, in your favorite place, at your own pace, and across any distance.
When I view art myself, I deeply value the pure impression received solely from the piece. Even when multiple people look at the same artwork, each person’s reaction is unique. Sometimes, two people can feel completely opposite emotions from a single painting.
With this in mind, the stories I write are kept gentle and restrained, focusing primarily on the choice of motifs and subtle glimpses into the messages woven within each piece.
If you are curious to learn more about the background and thought process behind a work, I hope you will enjoy reading these articles.
